RUSH IS HISTORY WITH ESPN

Looks like Rush did right by ESPN. He resigned today .

His claim is, that his comments were aimed at the media. Could be. No one is safe from his mouth.

But the way he went about it was wrong. In todays society, unfortunately, you have to be real careful how you say things. And he isn't too careful.

Too bad too, Rush usually has some good opinions. But the way he presents them, turns off a lot of people who would agree with him.

He really needs to work on his people skills.

BIG FIVE TEST

I found The Big Five Test via Dizzy-Girl .

It was interesting, but I noticed the same questions being asked more than once but with different twists, "Do you like...", "Do you dislike...". So, if you were fudging on the answers it would ferret out the changes. Slick but obvious.

Still a cute test. My scores are below.

I don't usually write about things political, but I found a site talking about essays on politics. I took a gander to see what was up as there is a competition on the essays and people get to vote on them. STORY IDEA "STORY #2" READY TO START

I am about ready to start on Story #2. I have already received a few snippets.

Now, I am also asking for suggestions on what genre you want to see this one set in.

So far the vote has been for Science Fiction. Let me know, and the most votes gets it.

AND, DON'T forget to send thoughts and ideas. I think a few people were surprised that I could pull so much into the mix and make it work. (So was I). It was challanging.

STORY COMMENTS

So far, the comments on STORY IDEAS have been something of an experience. I have been trying to incorporate as many as possible and from (I thought) was going to be a simple daily post, it is taking on a life of its own. It didn't help much that I fell behind almost immediately, due to a variety of reasons.

What I have in the works as of this moment, is a fairly lengthy story line. I do hope to have it hammered out into something worth posting either later tonight or tomorrow. Not all ideas will be included, but the left overs will be the start of the "Second Story". I hope everyone will keep sending in the, ("Stump the Fool Behind the Keyboard"), Story ideas.

It is a bit of a challange to figure out how to interlace as many different elements together. I hope the final result is an enjoyable bit of writing, though it may not be light and airy.

AN IDEA

It may have been done before, but I am not aware of it. Here's my idea.

I would like to start a story that will run as a series of posts over a period of time. What I would like, from people like Bogie , Buffy , broad at bat , billy , Da Goddess , Dizzy Girl , Crazy Tracy , and others that care to get involved is, ideas to be incorporated into the story. Not whole story lines, though those would be welcome, just little tidbits to be thrown in to help develop the train of the story.

You have a couple days to think about it. If you would like to get in on this, just drop me an e-mail with "story ideas" in the subject line.

When the story had run its course, I will compile the entity as a whole, and add all the credits for the finished product, and e-mail it to everyone involved as a complete work, not just scattered posts.

Think about it and let me know if I'm on drugs, or if you want to get involved.

CK'S TALENTS

Ck is thinking of going for her LPN certification to get going into the nursing profession. She figures it would be more advantageous to get into the profession and then finish working on her RN. Don't know, but it is her decision.

Wanting to get into Geriatric Nursing eventually, she knows it will invole a lot of time and effort. A lot of people think she might be nuts as this is a tough field in nursing. We think she will do fine.

She has done volunteer work for a couple years at an assisted care facility during high school. She loved the work and the people. She has a natural affinity for it. Most people can't handle the idea of working with older people in various stages of decline. She thought it was great.

But, she has that personality. And she has a facinating sense of humor to go with it. She can look at a situation and see a common sense absurdity to it and then turn around and verbalize it.

If she doesn't go too far in nursing, she would do fantastic in an arena where she would have to deal with people. Broadcasting or stand up comedy comes to mind. She has the whole package of cadence, delivery, inflection and facial expression to pull it off. The same traits she will need for this area of nursing.

Anyway she goes, someone is going to get a laugh out of it.

WE'RE STILL HERE BUT HE'S NOT

I'm a hard rock kind of person. Just like the driving bass and drums going all out. Screaming guitars and keyboard.

But, GREAT is GREAT.

And GREAT, is now gone. If you haven't read or heard about it by now, you've been under a rock.

Johnny Cash has gone to join June Carter Cash. What beautiful music there must be.

I would be willing to bet, if you ask any musician, regardless of style and taste, if they knew or were influenced by Johnny Cash, the answer would be yes.

I loved the pure human emotion in his words, and his voice. He didn't sing, he shared. Top that.

With respect, I wonder if he is still "The Man in Black"?

PARANOIA
