All of us went out last night to celebrate CK's BD. If ya like steak, try The Texas Roadhouse. Anyway...
We got in with very little wait (very unusual for them...we've had to sit for close to an hour before to get in). But in we went. Because of NG1 being with us, we asked for a table for 4 1/2, and got a table that could have held 9. It worked.
The waitress was good and took care of us. And NG1 was very well behaved. He was also very intrigued with all that was going on, turning one way, then the other. Very occupied with all the hub-bub, noise, and people moving all around.
One thing about the restaurant, every half hour or so, they play certain music and all the wait-staff line dance. Customers are invited to join in if they know the dance. When the music started, our waitress asked if NG1 could dance with her. CK gave permission, but warned her, he is a bit iffy with strangers and may not do well. She was OK with that and picked him up to dance. He lasted about 2 minutes before getting cranky and she put him back in the highchair. After being set down, he looked around and figured out this was SUPPOSED to be happening and watched intently. He even held out his hand as if asking the waitress to take him back out. Very cute.
Though it was CK's night, NG1 got all the attention, he was a charmer for everyone around us. I'm not sure who had the most fun, us, them, or him. But it was worth it.
Good times happen.
Glad a good time was had by all!

In informal restaurants, babies are definitely the entertainment. Super!
