This morning, Dudette and I were hanging out in the garage, chatting about this, that, and anything else that came to mind. Just enjoying a cool breeze on a nice sunny morning.
As we chatted, movement outside caught my eye. A rabbit was walking/hopping lazily down the middle of the street. Stopping every now and again to take in the sights, then moving on. With no traffic to bother him, he was making it a typicalSunday stroll.
Cute.
A little bit later, maybe 10 - 15 minutes, I hear this "clackity, clackity, clackity" noise outside, coming up the street. I looked, and what appeared to be a BIG, ugly, dog walked past. After blinking a time or two, I did a double take.
Dudette must have noticed the look on my face and asked, "What is it?" More of a question, than disbelief of seeing the same thing I had.
"A deer." I said, heading for the driveway.
She beat me out the door. Sure enough, about 3 houses down, this young deer was mosey-ing down the middle of the street. It stopped, looked to the left, then trotted across the lawn and vanished between the houses.
Don't see that every day.
I was beginning to wonder what would be next, a Clydesdale, bear, moose,... If the first two had been moving fast, I would have been concerned what was chasing them. But these two guys were just having a lazy, morning stroll.
Like I said in the last post, the things you will see.
Strolls happen.
Hey, I left you an award on my blog.
