Dudette was filling up the pill schedulers with our vitamins today. One of the bottles was different and I asked about it.
She mentioned they were out of the my regular multi-vitamin and picked upa different brand. From there the conversation revolved around the differences between brands and such. She was concerned about her vitamin, it seemed to have a thicker coating and she wasn't sure it was doing its thing properly. So, I commented about researching it. She left for her office after that comment. I figured she was doing her regular Saturday routine of clearing stuff from her desk.
After a bit, I heard her rummaging around in the kitchen. Checking to see what she was up to, I found her setting stuff up on the counter: measuring cup, spoons, vinegar, timers....Missing were the glass jars, beakers, and bowls smoking and bubbling up, except for that, it reminded me of an old horror movie with a mad scientist at work.
"Now what?"
"I researched how to check your vitamins. So I'm checking."
She poured vinegar into the cup, added a vitamin, then popped it into the microwave. After it had cooked for a bit, she checked the temp of the vinegar, then set a timer. She played around like this for a while until she seemed satisfied.
"Okay. Tell me about it."
"Well, you heat up the vinegar to body temp, and if it dissolves within an hour, then it's good. Half hour would be better though."
Challenge Dudette, and you never know what you'll learn. I did learn our vitamins passed the "dissolve" test. Now if we just knew if our bodies passed the "absorption" test.
Science happens.
Wow - how knew? Not me, that's for sure. A test to see if your vitamins dissolve properly. What ever will you guys find next???? (Don't know but I'm looking forward to finding out!)
