Freak 1 and Freak 2 are doing their regular thing.
Freak 1 still puts up his "Adolph the Snowman". I think it should be a "Frosty" but the one arm that should be "waving" to passer-by's, hangs more forward than up. So when you look at him, one almost expects to hear a "Sig Heil" coming from a recording. It is almost enough to make me want to sneak over there and use some electrical tape and put a dashed mustache under his carrot nose.
But, what the heck, it makes him happy so I leave it alone.
And Freak 2 has the "full-on" yard displays going again this year. They wouldn't be so bad but none of the lights match, in color or timing. So you get this uncoordinated acid-freaks light show going on. And some of the other hardware lighting; reindeer, Santa sleigh with Rudolph, and other goodies (though not all of them are out yet, oh my) are doing their own thing. Most of which, makes wheezing, chattering, and obscene motor noises, as they try to produce the effect they were built to deliver, but fail at miserably. Not good.
And, he has a "mini-postcard" banner that is supposed to look like an open Christmas card, complete with back-lighting. Well, the wind so far this year, an possibly poor installation, has caused this thing to go down more often than a triple X movie star.
Love the trailer trash lawn decorations. Keeps me amused anyways.
-------------------
With the bad weather we had today, high winds and snow, it caused the roads to be nasty as all get out (serious ice in our area). Anyway, taking the back route home, I passed by a house in the neighborhood that has an inflatable Santa in the front yard. With the motor not running, Santa looked like a drive-by sleighing. He never completely deflated from last night, so with the wind whipping around, it was tossing up an arm, then a leg, and occasionally his head. And as I passed by slowly, it looked like the poor guy was laying there, writhing in pain after being shot.
Humorous, yet scary at the same time. Like watching a bad episode of CoPS.
I give them an "8.5" for trying, and a "10" at keeping me entertained.
Strange holiday stuff happens
OH my! Where is your camera. I am still laughing!!!!

Goof! *G*
I live with the Grinch, and we have NO outside lighting or decorating of any kind. I SWEAR I am going to hire decorators one year. At any rate, after you've described the decorations in your neighborhood, I have to say that living with the Grinch isn't all that bad. Less is More. *S*
Merry Christmas, to you and yours.
