(that's a pun against the previous post), any one seen the markets lately??
Yeah, me too. Not pretty. However...
with the industry taking a hit like it has, things have slowed down a bit at work. And during this slow period, I am taking advantage of the spare time.
Right now, I am going to start working a couple hours a day with another person, learning how to do their job, so I can fill in as a back-up. And I have thrown my hat in the ring to go to "6 Sigma" training.
The 6S program has an entry level now. My boss is wanting a number of us to go through that entry training. From what I've heard, I am the only one signed up so far. But I'm sure that will change. (damn, I'm funny) Not that it makes any difference to me, I enjoy learning new stuff (provided it's not typing).
Besides, remember me mentioning the market earlier? Well, if being knowledgeable and functional in this means keeping my job longer, then so be it. If nothing else, I've learned something new. How do you beat that?
Value happens.
you're just sooo smart dude. (and a swot!)
