GOTTA WATCH OUT WHO

you piss off.

A person I know has had pissing matches with their IT department on and off.

Never a good idea, but hey, it wasn't me.  I know better than to irritate those who can help me the most.

Anyhoo, their computer shot craps lately and had to be replaced.  They were out of town on business when IT got done building their new box and installing in their office.

When they got back, they were thrilled the computer had been replaced.  At least until they fired it up.  (ya really need to be there when a new box gets dropped in, trust me)  When they got on and started working, things started becoming apparent.  They had no fonts.  And no printers.  And no Browser.  And no this.  And no that.

Needless to say, IT got a call from a less than happy camper customer.  And of course, attitudes reared their ugly heads.

After blowing up at the person on the other end of the phone, they got told, "well, we're all busy right now so you will have to wait till we can make it over."

Not the right answer.  More piece of mind followed.  (notice a self-destruct cycle happening here?)

"Sorry.  Like I said, you'll just have to wait.  We rushed this job for you and you were gone when we set it up.  When we finish getting caught up with the stuff we put on the back burner, we'll contact you."

"Well!  I'm going to complain to your boss, and let MY boss know about this."

(chuckle from the phone)  "You are certainly free to do that.  But you'll have to do it by phone."

(indignant) "Why!?"

"We didn't set up your e-mail either." *hehehe* -click-

Watch out who you piss off.

I know better than that but this was really funny to read. If I know someone will be able to help me with something I usually try to help them with things so they have to pay me back. :D
