Dudette went shopping today. When she got home she had a couple surprises for me. She told me was picking up a new CD for me. But when she got home from shopping with CK, she dropped several CD's on me.
First of all there was the newest one by Rush, "Snakes and Arrows". Very good for fans of Rush. Click the link and check out the music on their site. I have the CD on as I type. When you get there, click on the album cover then find the "player" link on the new cover. Worth it.
Another one she picked up was a "Best of" of C.W. McCall. Haven't listened to that one yet, but it is on the list.
She also picked up the complete Shania Twane. Obviously, that one is for her.
She's a little country, and I'm a LOT Rock and Roll. (OK, closer to Heavy Metal) But our tastes do overlap in a lot of places.
The last one she picked up was a "DJ Choice" of some older songs including Beach Boys, Neil Diamond and a couple others. This one S-U-C-K-S! Except for two of the songs on it, the rest sound flat and rerecorded by some one else. Can't really tell as the highs and lows have been brought down during the digital remastering of the stuff. Either way, nasty. ( how can any fool disrespect the harmonies of the beach boys that way? demented I tell you..)
I would not recommend buying anything like this. It isn't even worth the effort to turn it into a Frisbee.
Any one want to buy a cheap CD? Didn't think so.
Music happens.
