I was IM'ing a friend tonight and got a play-by-play on a pork chop dinner. (actually, it was more like a comment than any lengthy conversation...but this is my story).
The ending comment was that the meal came out pretty good, and included a toaster oven and a lack of apple sauce.
It brought back some memories...
about a pork chop dinner I made in the microwave for Dudette and CK some time ago. The guys at work still use them for skeet. And they haven't broken them yet.
Yep. Getting some good wear out of those chops.
Dudette told me not to take it too badly. After all, it was a "learning curve".
I looked at it more like a "learning cliff".
And, you know, those oven manufacturers lie. I left a broiling pan in one time and hit "clean", and it came out still dirty. Now, that's false advertising.
And another thing I found out. Non-stick teflon really is non-stick.
When a skillet starts to glow, that teflon slides right off.
One helpful hint for in the kitchen. When you nuke a hard boiled egg, you gotta get the timing j-u-s-t right. Otherwise, you'll spend a lot of time with a putty knife on the microwave.
Cookin' happens.
Or in your case...
Cooking DOESN'T happen.
