One of the people Dudette works with carried on a while back about a movie they and the family saw about dancing penguins (you'll figure out the title soon enough).

They carried on so much about it, I thought Dudette was going to clobber them.  Though there were a number of cute stories that developed around it.

CUTTING TIME AGAIN, ALREADY

As I mentioned last week, the lawn had gotten pretty thick and tall very quickly.

And, I just mentioned the rain we had all week.

LONG WEEK

It has been one of those weeks that seemed to never end.

Not only did it go on forever, but it rained most of it.  I don't think the two had anything in common other than sharing the same days of the calender.  But it sure seemed like a conspiracy.

NEW APPOINTMENT

I failed to mention that I got my appointment rescheduled.  I go in for torture this coming Tuesday.  What fun.

Schedules happen.

WE JUST CALLED TO SAY...

your appointment is canceled.

Uh, huh.  Canceled.  I took tomorrow off to take care of some business and to make an appointment.

SPEAKING OF LAWNS....

It looks like the title of "Freak" is being challenged by the "other neighbors" across the street (I call them the Klampits...mostly after Jethro *if ya gotta ask...you're TOO young*).

It's that time of year again.  Everything is growing and blooming.  Including the lawn and my sinuses.

PORK CHOPS

I was IM'ing a friend tonight and got a play-by-play on a pork chop dinner.  (actually, it was more like a comment than any lengthy conversation...but this is my story).

The ending comment was that the meal came out pretty good, and included a toaster oven and a lack of apple sauce.

It brought back some memories...

'NET S-L-O-W

Late last week, our cable box died in the basement.  The tech showed up with a new one.  And it died.  Go figure.

I told him that we would be calling again in the next week or so.  When he asked why, I told him.

SMART ALECK

The other day CK was over.  Before she got here, while everyone was away from the house, a door-to-door group had stopped by and left some of their religious propaganda hanging on the door knob.

She brought it in and left it on my office chair.
