WE'RE BACK AND MY...

what stories there are to tell.  (I'm going to make sure the other stories come after this one.  So you will read this first, then hit the others.  So look below this post for more good stuff.)

First off, let me get the Winefest out of the way.  This one benefits the "Home and Hospice Care", and it went very well.  The new person working on learning the drill, did very well.  Dudette and I just stepped back and let her have her way with the entire event, (only stepping in when help was needed, of course).  Though that happened on a regular basis, it was at, and in, areas that were new and different to her.

BORING, FUN, AND PAINFUL

The trip up to the site of the Winefest was mostly uneventful.  We didn't have to dodge any deer, or trucks carrying explosives (on one of the trips, we got stuck behind an open sided truck, no sides...just side-rails and a tarp.  When finally passing it, after what felt like forever, we got a look at the crates stacked up underneath.  They were all labeled "EXPLOSIVES").  And the number of "construction" zones we had to go through, was almost nil.  The few fun areas were two lane county roads that twisted and turned and you couldn't see any further than half the distance your headlights illuminated.  All posted speeds of 65mph. (Yeah...RIGHT!) I'm sure I torqued off more than a few locals in these areas.  (They'll get over it.  Then again, maybe not.  I survived.)

YOU JUST CAN'T MAKE ANYONE HAPPY

I am Nostradamus.  I have the crystal ball to tell me all that is going to happen.

Just ask them at work, they'll tell you.  Or, I should say, they'll accuse me.  I know everything.  And it is MY fault when they screw up.

Tonight, I caught one of the cells I check, making a mistake.  It involved me taking a number of their product out of service until an engineer can make a call on it.  *try finding an engineer at 'what time of night is it?' to take a call and give an answer*

WAS IT ARSON, OR INTERNAL COMBUSTION

Or, should I say, intestinal combustion?

The paper carried a story about $300,000 worth of smoked stools.  That is 250 toasted toilets that went up in smoke.  From "porta-potties" to "pyrotechnic-potties".

They ruled out "Act-of-God" pretty quickly.  Seems plastic doesn't attract lightning very well.  But it's not sitting well with the owners that now have to replace the melted muckers.

The investigators are going with the theory that it was arson.  Seems a section of fencing was removed for construction reasons and that allowed easy access to the companies assets.

Just goes to prove, glass houses or not, you have to be careful when you stow thrones.

"Brick houses are better" happens.

I'M HAVING A THOUGHT...

I don't know if it is because I turned on comment moderation, or what.  But since turning it on, the number of comments dropped (not that I've been posting much) and the number of hits I get, fell through the floor.

Not that I am a "hit freak", I'm not.  I don't normally pay too much attention to the traffic I get.  But curiosity got to me after turning on moderation, and I started looking, well...paying attention to the traffic, I always looked but shrugged it off.

It was like the site developed a disease or something.  All of a sudden, no one (or very few people) stopped by or left comments.  Anyway, I was amazed at the drop.  Very strange.
