Last night, Dudette, Ck, Chew and myself enjoyed a wonderful dinner with Cop Car and HH. About the only thing missing was Bogie and WS, but we'll work on that for next time.
Now, I will be the first to admit that Cop Car has a MUCH better memory than I do. She did a marvelous job of recapping the evening on her post "Local Family Dinner".
Cop Car and HH were, as usual, most gracious hosts for the evening. I always have a wonderful time at these gatherings.
Gatherings happen.
To the World: Actually, WD is a gracious guest--hanging his own coat in the closet, ferreting out from the refrigerator the soda that he prefers. WD gets treated as (poorly as) the rest of the family. That's what he gets for stealing our elder daughter. *evil giggling* As the old saw goes: We didn't lose two daughters, we gained two sons. (Echo: We didn't lose a granddaughter, we gained a grandson.) Hunky Husband and I feel exceedingly lucky (as if luck had anything to do with the good taste shown by the women in the family! Can we pick 'em, or what?)

Drat! I wish I had persuaded Dear Husband and Elegante Mother to make the trip! It would have been fun to see the family gathered together. I'm sure you had a great time.
We gathered last night, too. Since its so difficult to find something that everyone enjoys, we ordered pizza for the last of the Christmas celebrations.
Dear Husband and I wish you and your entire family a healthy and prosperous 2006, WD! Happy 2006!
