Yeah, I know, I promised more updates last night about the "Holiday Dinner".  By the time we got things settled back down after it was over, I was too pooped to post.  So, I will finish now.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!

I hope everyone is having a great time on turkey day.  The folk at The Dude Ranch, (Casa Wichi or sometimes known as Castle Wichi/ Wichi Castle) will be doing our thing on Saturday.

But it's all good.  Things just worked out better that way.  And that makes two days everyone can be thankful on.

Holidays happen.

CONCERT UPDATE

Everyone enjoyed the concert.  The show put on by Chip Davis and Mannheim Steamroller can only be described as "Magical".

Between the music (which was crisp, clear and at an enjoyable volume), the visuals (video, pictures, special lighting, snowing inside, floor effects - complete with a village scene and "Toy Soldiers"), and the chemistry of Steamroller and their accompanying orchestra, it isn't possible to put the show into words and do it justice.

All I can say is, if you get a chance to see this production, do it.  You will not be disappointed.

Dudette and I decided that the next time they appear in our area, we will put out the money to get table seats near the stage.  Our "Nose-bleed" seats were good but to be closer to the stage would definitely be better.  I can't say that about too many shows I've seen.

Magic happens.

HELPING OUT

After the show, we hung back until the crowd was out of the building.  The parking lot is a nightmare after a concert.  I've found from experience that letting the lot empty out and taking your time is a good thing.

So, when we got to our vehicles, we started them up to let them warm up a bit, then stood around and chatted.

STEAMROLLER IS IN TOWN

Tomorrow night will be a long one.  CK, Chew, Dudette and I are going to see Mannheim Steamroller in concert.  It is their Christmas concert.

We all like Steamroller.  But this is kind of special for me as this will only be the second concert Dudette has gone to with me.  She isn't too fond of crowds.

I'm pumped about it.

LIST OF ODDS AND ENDS

Worked on Dudette's laptop tonight.  It has wireless connection capabilities but hasn't been configured to our network.  So I played with it to get her up and running at home.  After numerous attempts, I finally got it.

Now all she has to do is run it through all the other modes to make sure I didn't screw up her "work" settings.  She has wireless settings for all their locations and it may have been easy to honk one of them up.  So, she will need to test fire them to make sure they still work.  (I have my fingers crossed.  I NEVER work on anything without honking something around.)

WATCH YOUR E-MAIL

Just a friendly warning about e-mails.  Like we all need another one, right?

I always check any weird e-mail's I get for viruses and other nasties (can't be too careful out there).  So it came as a bit of a surprise when I got one from "egreetings.com" and it contained two viruses.

No, I didn't get the viruses!

Calm down.  Though "egreetings" is a legit site, the e-mail wasn't.  I checked out out the site before hand and even checked to see if I ever received stuff from them before (and I had).  So I checked out the e-mail. Every bell and whistle went off when I clicked the link for my "egreeting card" and it wanted me to "run" the program.  That is so not right.

CK'S VISIT

CK stopped by tonight.  She was on her way to a friends, and the friend canceled the visit.  Apparently other things came up.  Since she was close to our place by then, she swung by to keep us company.

SHIFT CHANGE UPDATE

Well, I got notified that I got the job I mentioned here.  Now all I have to do is wait for my replacement to be found and trained.  Once that is done, then I get moved and get a refresher course for the new job.

I've done it before but that was a while back.  Stuff has changed and I need to be brought back up to speed.  Shouldn't take too long though.
