I GOT CALLED A NAME TONIGHT

Dudette and I were talking about,...(I don't recall now, the shock did it to me), anyway...she said I was a "clean freak".

After I stopped laughing and got up off the floor, I politely told her she couldn't call me names.

I don't remember where that came from, but I needed the laugh.

Good humor happens.

THE RESUME REVIEW

Dudette is pretty happy with the job search so far.  Since Friday afternoon, she has received 150 resumes.  12 are looking very good right now and she has a handful of "back-up" resumes in a folder.

As of right now, she has 5 interviews set up for this week with a  couple still in limbo.  (Waiting to hear back from the people tomorrow.)

She may get a person hired before the old one leaves.  That will be a first.

Luck happens.

MORE RESUME HUMOR

The following is an excerpt from a resume.  If you think about what is being said, it almost makes sense.  But when you read it, it'll make you scratch you head a bit.

WHAT A WELCOME BACK

Today was the first day back to work after my vacation.  I received a wonderful gift from the gang to celebrate the occasion.  I got wonked up side the head with one of our coils.

LOOKING FOR A NEW ASSISTANT

Dudette is looking for a new assistant.  When she got back from her vacation on Thursday, the current assistant turned in their two weeks notice.  They accepted a position more along their line of expertise.

So, now the search continues, once again.

A LITTLE CATCHING UP

The bed we bought is a Seal-ee (spelling on purpose) pillow top.  It is a king sized bed, but not a California King (reg. king is 76" X 80", and the Cali king is 72" X 84").  It should be here on Wednesday.

All the research we did and the people we talked to said to give the bed a couple weeks to see if we like it.  For one thing, it's new (where ours is old).  Next, it is a different size, so we'll have to get used to the extra room (sounds goofy, but we have heard the same thing from everyone we talked to).  And the technology of beds has changed.  The older ones took a little to "break in" so to speak.  The newer ones should "feel" right from the start.  They don't "break in".

I guess we'll find out.  And we have an exchange guarantee if it isn't the right "feel".  Seems that if you go by the "old expectations" of a bed, you end up buying too hard, expecting it to "settle down" after a bit and that shouldn't happen any more.  Anyway, if it turns out we went too hard, or too soft, we have time to change our minds and switch out to a different mattress.

EARLY THEATRE

Going to see "Once Upon A Mattress" tonight.  I know, it is one night early for us.  We have a commitment for tomorrow night so we switched tickets for an earlier showing.

I've probably seen a dozen variations of this over the years and it never gets dull or boring.  I look forward to seeing the MTW version of this.

HMMM, LET'S SEE NOW...

Been kind of hanging out and under the radar this week.  Think I can fill in a few details about what's been going on.

MOVIE TIME TONIGHT

Dudette and I checked out a good movie at the cinema today.  Been a long time since we saw a movie at the theater.  (Providing you forget about me taking her to see Kung Foo hustle---wish I could)

NIGHT OF THE LIVING SOFT-WERE UPDATES

Dudette, Ck, and myself are due for the annual renewal of some "SOFT-WERE".  Kind of like the old horror flicks this stuff; at a full moon, or year, it turns into a monster that ravages your mind and machine.

"So, Van Helsing.  Are the stakes sharpened, the garlic fresh, the virgins, ummmm, virginal, and the crosses and holy water blessed?  There IS evil afoot."

"Yes.  It is time to renew, download, and reboot.  Pray and hope the silver connections keep the demons out."
