GOING FOR MORE VACATION TIME

After the week of vacation I used during the wedding, you'd think I was rested.  Right??

Wrong.

I turned in for another week before the end of June.  Dudette has a couple days off and we would like to spend it together without the three ring circus.

HOW DO YOU EAT

corn-on-the-cob without having to shampoo your face afterward.  Most people have done a lot of other things and not made that big of a mess of themselves.  So I know I'm not alone.

But you just can't enjoy corn-on-the-cob without finding butter and stuff dripping off your chin, up your nose, all over your glasses, in your (and everyone elses) drink, and probably other places we haven't found yet.

I think that is what makes it so fun.

Messes happen.

NO PICTURES YET

I don't have my pictures organized yet.  Not that I have that many of them, they're just not organized.

But I did call around to all my sisters and nieces yesterday to make sure they had no problems with me posting them.  All is good.  No one has an issue.  (I like to check, just to make sure)

YOU SEE SOME OF THE DARNDEST THINGS

Walking through the kitchen earlier, I had to stop and do a double-take.  There was a bookmark hanging over the edge of the sink.

Okay.  That's perfectly normal.  Sort of.

Today is Dudette's birthday.  I plan on doing some fun stuff with her today to celebrate.  I won't disclose what so it won't ruin the surprise if she reads this.

AN UNEXPECTED BUT NICE VISIT

Dudette was still working with the flowers and finishing up making some banana bread when the back door opened.  This is not all that unusual.  Most people that know us know that if the garage door is open, we're up and moving.  And that door is where most travel through.

PRESERVING FLOWERS

I heard a funny noise coming from the kitchen, it sounded like the blow-dryer.  When I got to the kitchen, sure enough, it was the blow-dryer.

To start this, I have to say, I am highly allergic to cats.

STILL RECOVERING

Dudette and I are still recovering from all the preparations leading up to the wedding.  Lots of "low-sleep" nights and double checking things.  Then all the "low-sleep" nights of relatives visiting.  It was fun and worth every bit of it.  Let me tell you, it was worth it.

NO PICTURES YET

Well, I would like to post some pictures of the wedding, but I can't.  I don't have any yet.  I took the camera to the church and everything, but with all the goings on, I never got a chance to even get it out of the bag.

So, I am waiting for word from the photographer as to when there might be something available.  I should get some film back from the cameras that were at the reception tomorrow.  With luck, there will be some good pics to pull from there.

I DO have other pictures from before and after the event of different relatives and friends.  I will put some of them up as soon as I get clearance from the parties involved.
