The day was just routine. Nothing much out of the ordinary.
But tonight, we all had a good time just talking and laughing at the dinner table. Nothing in particular, just goofing around.
It was good.
After cleaning up, I stepped outside. The air is a little crisp. The night sky cloudless. All the stars twinkling away.
Really a peaceful scene to be enjoyed in all its vast calm.
And the sound of the frogs and toads, in the run-off culvert behind the house, all the way down to the lake, happily croaking and chirping, added to the tranquility of the evening. Shame to have to go in and get ready for bed.
A night like this is made to be enjoyed for as long as possible.
Peaceful happens.
It sounds like a wonderful night. I can't wait until we hear the sounds of spring peepers and other frogs!
