I did the basic check overs on the mower and trimmer today. Pulled the plugs and got them started for the first time in preparation for the up coming "LAWN SEASON". Don't you just love cutting the grass and having your allergies go crazy?
Yeah. Me too.
I was kind of surprised working on the mower though. The plug calls for a torque spec. I had it worked on last season and it ran pretty good. But when I went to take out the plug and clean it and check its gap, I didn't even need a wrench to take it out. Maybe I'm confused but, I think that may have been out of spec. on the torque.
I wondered why it ran at all. Plus, the gap calls for .030 and it was at .043. Just a little off. Again, I wonder why it ran at all.
The trimmer was a challenge also. To get to that plug, you have to remove the cowling. And it is an odd sized plug. But I got it out with only the minimum skin and blood loss. Its gap is .025. I found it to be at .017.
How does this stuff work like that?
Anyway, it is all to spec. now, put back together, and *TAH-DAH-DA* it runs.
Damn I'm good.
Look out dandelions! I'm armed and dangerous. And I have 911 on speed dial.
Lawns happen.
Wanna come clean and gap ours? (Now, how can you refuse an invitation like that? I just don't understand men!)
