STARTED A NEW GAME LAST NIGHT

Started a new game last night; Half life.  It took a long time to load up on the computer...

A QUIET DAY AND GLAD WE'RE HAVING WEATHER

Just a quiet day at home today.  Got some stuff done but mostly enjoyed football.

Dudette and I filled both vehicles up with gas to make sure we were ready for the "possible" weather headed our way.  According to the "weather guessers", it is supposed to start raining tonight and turn to snow tomorrow before ending some time Tuesday.  Possible accumulation of maybe 3 inches.

The last time they said snow, we got a dusting with a little accumulation of the grassy areas.  Supposed to be 3 inches that time also.  Guess we'll wait and see.

Guessing (still) happens.

HARVEY SURVIVED THANKSGIVING

Dudette worked Friday and was pleased to see Harvey survived Thanksgiving.  The stupid turkey had taken up residence in a corner by Dudettes office a couple years ago and is still there.  He is kind of interesting to watch and he keeps the folks at her work, and the neighboring radio station, entertained.

It will cause a big stink if anything happens to him.  He's kind of a mascot, and adopted business member.  Even the resident hunter of the group goes out during the bad weather and feeds him.  Well, he puts food out for Harvey.  Harvey isn't anywhere near people broke.

THE SHADOWS ARE GETTING LONGER

Dudette and I were outside today and I made the comment that it was getting dark early.

She countered that, "the sun is still shining.  After all, it is only 4 o'clock."

I said, "Well, the shadows are longer than my memory."

She just looked at me.  Then with a glint in her eyes, "Yeah, at noon."

I had to run in and get this posted.  Otherwise, I'd forget.

Memories....(do something...do....oh,yeah!)...happen.

NOW WHAT IS WITH THE FASHIONS

I went shopping today at one of the biggest malls we have.  The place was packed since it is the day after Thanksgiving.  And let me tell you, with the decent temperatures, the scenery was fantastic.

But after a while, I had one of those "what's wrong with this picture" moments.

THANKSGIVING'S OVER

Well, dinner is over and everybody has left.  The place is cleaned up and the football game is over.

All in all, it went very well.  Cop Car and HH were, as usual, excellent company.

Chew and CK did their fair share of helping and keeping us entertained.  Unfortunately, they had to leave and go to work tonight.

As a topper for the evening, we are watching Pretty Woman.  Love that show.

Good times happen.  Especially when good people are involved.

THANKSGIVING DAY

It is Thanksgiving Day at the Dude Ranch.  Guests of honor today are Cop Car and HH, Ck and Chew, and of course Dude and Dudette. 

We will be having the typical dinner; turkey, stuffing, relish tray, mashed potato's, our favorite Crescent Rolls (Bogie and WS know which ones) and all the other stuff.  For desert, there will be pecan pie and chocolate pie.

About the only people missing are Bogie and WS.  Though I'm sure they are having their own party and enjoying it.

I won't bore everyone with the lists of stuff we're thankful for, everyone else has done that already.  I'm just going to say, yes, we have plenty to be thankful for.

Now it is time to finish up the food, enjoy the company (they have already engaged in meaningful debate.  you'd have to know them to appreciate it.), and sit down for dinner.

After the house is empty, CK and Chew have to work tonight (3 o'clock to ?) and the dishes are done, Dudette and I will sit back and enjoy the football game.  Probably through closed eyes, but hey...we were watching that!

FIRST HINT OF SNOW

The weather guessers are at it for our area.  They are saying we could get 1 to 3 inches of snow by tomorrow.  It is supposed to start tonight after midnight (let it all hang out...sorry, Eric Clapton snuck in).  And stop tomorrow morning some time.

Just because it has been in the 40's for the last few days doesn't mean it won't stick.  It probably will, but I doubt it will last long.  Just long enough to make things yucky and slushy.

And CK asks if it will be cold enough to freeze.  She is planning on washing her car.  Yeah right.  Go for it.

Weather happens.

BUMPED INTO AN OLD FRIEND

Stopped at a liquor store yesterday to pick up some "Triple Black".  Said "Hi" to a few of the people I know working there, and found what I was looking for and headed up to pay.

  While waiting at the cashiers station, in walked a guy I worked with years ago.  He left for better wages and conditions (so he thought).  We chatted a while, and I heard all the same old stuff I've heard before from other people.

I WOULD WRITE MORE TONIGHT BUT

For some reason the connection on the net tonight is sooooooo slow that I could probably print this stuff up and staple it to light poles quicker.

Maybe tomorrow will be better.  Off to bed.
