A question I really hadn't thought about until today.
Reading the label on a bottle of ketchup, (no, really, I DO have a life) I noticed the weight label. It read "60.6 ounces ( 3 lb 12.6 oz)".
Weights for fluids are in ounces, pints, quarts...
Weights for solids are in ounces, pounds, tons...
So if ketchup is FLUID, why is it labeled in SOLID weight measure?
Anyone?
Pondering happens.
Packaging purposes.
By the way, I fully expected this was going to be about glass. You know, it appears solid but it's actually a liquid.

Let's go back to discussing the contents label on bottled water.
