IS IT A LIQUID OR A SOLID

A question I really hadn't thought about until today.

Reading the label on a bottle of ketchup, (no, really, I DO have a life) I noticed the weight label. It read "60.6 ounces ( 3 lb 12.6 oz)".

Weights for fluids are in ounces, pints, quarts...

Weights for solids are in ounces, pounds, tons...

So if ketchup is FLUID, why is it labeled in SOLID weight measure?

Anyone?

UPDATE ON THE DSL PROMO

As I mentioned in the last post DSL PROMO , the cost of the "high end" DSL would be about the same cost of our current cable hook up.

Well, the other shoe dropped. I got a promo for the "premier" version of the cable service. It boasts speeds of 4 mbs as compared to the DSL, which was promising 1.5 - 3.0 mbs.

OKAY! Sounds like a winner to me. KEWL!

Then I saw the price. It would be almost TWICE the current cost of the cable hook up. That makes the DSL almost less than half the cost cable wants. And it would still be less than the current cost.

When DSL gets its act together in our area, I am definitely going to give them a call and see what they have to say.

Bargains (and competition) happen.

DSL PROMO

We recently received another promotion concerning DSL High Speed Internet Provider Service, courtesy fo our phone provider. Most people would naturaly be excited about this as it offers special rates.

I have a problem though...

BONSAI SPRING

The weather has been fairly decent recently. Unlike Bogie , spring seems to have visited us. My three Maples have started pushing up new foliage and budding. The Juniper is putting out fresh candles, and the False Hinkoi Cypress looks to be greening up.

Four of these I expected, (the maples and the Juniper). The Hinoki is kind of a shock as I have gotten very good at killing this variety. I'll just have to wait and see how it turns out.

Spring happens.

POSTCARDS WITH AN EDGE "2"

Along with the postcard I mentioned in the last post, we also received one from a "new" local tanning salon. Nicely done card with great pictures on the front depicting tanners. I can't say to much more about the card except that, when Dudette gets done looking into the place, I'm hanging that postcard on my office wall.

Great scenery happens.

The hair salon we use sent us postcards the other day. The cards were to inform us that they have relocated. That is fine. And they have some great offers as part of the new location opening.

Dudette was looking through the paper after dinner, (yes, the one mentioned below), and she said that Bill Engvall, the "Here's your sign" guy, was going to be appearing at a local spot.

I thought that was cool. I wouldn't mind seeing him.
