Twice a year, I usually do a "deep cleaning" of the house. Not that I wash the walls or anything like that. What I do do, is move the washer and dryer out, and do maintenance and cleaning on them. As well as scrub the floor under them. I do the same with the refrigerator. I also hand scrub (with scrub brush) all the non-carpeted floors.
There are a lot of other, "every six months" projects that I do also.
This is one of those holidays when I have the time off to really get down and do them. I am happy to report that for the most part, they are done. And just in time for the whole thing to get trashed out again. At least the company will be the ones trashing it out. That means they will get a chance to see it in all its glory first.
Oh great - now everyone in the world will want me to loan out my great house-guy! Well just forget it, I found him first!!
Except of course, you Cop Car. Rent-A-Relative is always at your service.

The two refrigerators, the washer, and the dryer, I can handle myself; but, thanks for the offer, Dudette. See if Wichi Dude can figure out how to move the stove out without totally trashing it. There is only about 1/8" clearance on one side, and less on the other. Oh, well, when I get around to it I'll check to see if (as was true of the stove in the last house) I can get to the floor by taking out the broiler drawer. I was telling someone at work about Rent-A-Relative the other day at work--probably the guy about whom I e-mailed Wichi Dude. He thought it sounded grand!

Removing the broiler pan should work. Be careful though, our stove has a stabilizing hook mounted to the wall to keep it from tipping when the door is open. Almost ripped up the drywall moving it out the first time.

You don't wash the walls? But that is the best part of "deep cleaning" :)

Knock yourself out. The paint on our walls wouldn't take the abuse. LOL
