Every year, we do the same thing about food. We start cooking the night before, and as stuff is ready for storage, we put it in the garage, (as long as the weather plays along).
We are having the proper weather this year to help us out again. This year though, I do not have a liner in the bed of the truck. (New truck, no bed-liner, long story. I'll have to repeat it for those that missed Bogies telling of the whole incident during Christmas last year. I didn't have a blog then.) So instead of putting the food in the truck, I cleared off a wooden box I have in the garage. The prep food is on top of it. There is even room inside, just in case.
The garage has worked out great as a refrigerator. It stays about 10 degrees (F.) above the outside temp. so we know how cold it will be and nothing goes bad. But Dudette and I were out there putting out food, and she said the silliest thing. She said, we need a "reverse-osmosis heater" in the garage, to make sure it was cold enough. I just looked at her.
Anyone with technological know how, knows why I looked at her. Her next thought was, to get "sticky" traps like they use for mice and bugs, only made for wayward BTU's. This would keep the garage cold and we could take the traps inside and release the BTU's into the house to warm it up.
If you need a technical explaination, e-mail me, and be prepared for a long paper.
Hmmm...He makes it sound so silly!
I, however, think it is a perfectly doable idea. Of course, I think that "little blue fairies" are responsible for electricity and its behavior.
Can you tell I am not the most technologically savy person in our house?
Hope everyone has a terrific turkey day!!

Dudette takes after her father who believes in Stressatrons (how else would structure transmit stresses?) and after her late aunt who encouraged me to tell Dudette that a blue fairy caused her snuggly little doll to wiggle when she wound it up. (Dumb, ole me, I was telling Dudette about this bent shaft inside the doll that, when it turned about made the doll's head roll around!)

I don't see anything wrong with those ideas. Maybe the family engineer could figure out how to make those pieces of equipment and become rich overnight!
