Bogie posted that she and WS have been together for 18 wild and wonderful years.
That got me to thinking about the amount of time I have known Bogie and WS, and how long Dudette and I have been together.
WOW! For better than half of Dudette's life, and almost exactly half of mine, we've been together. We've known each other for longer than we haven't known each other.
This made us sober up about life for a moment, and wonder about the people we've both known that couldn't make it past a couple years together. We also reflected and pondered about those out there that call it quits after, say, 20 - 30 years together. And the common cry of "irreconcilable differences".
I will have to put down more of my thoughts on this later. It is way past my bed time and I could wind up rambling a LONG time. I know how I get when I'm tired and get on a subject.
...I have now been married longer than I ain't been married...my parents met when they were 16, got married when they were 22 and got divorced when they had been married 31 years...I remember their 25th wedding anniversary party very well :^)...but they should never have married - they just stayed together for 'reasons'...'sweird innit?...

Wow, that's an even more sobbering thought - WS and I have been also been together for more than half our lives as WS and I lived together (on and off) for 5 years before we got married.
Just doesn't seem that long ago that we met you, Wichi Dude. I still remember babysitting the Fantastic Niece when she was little and now she's almost legal - scary!

Fred is my second (and last) husband. We will have been married 13 years later this month, and like Bogie and her Wonderful Spouse, we lived together for six years before we married. I think we started too late to make it to fifty years together, but as of now, it looks like he's still a keeper. *S*

Good. You'll have to read the sequel on my thoughts.
