CK was over with the kids (NG1 & NG2) the other day. NG2 is kind of a giggle-box, despite his short age, and CK was getting him to LAUGH like nobodies business.  She would squish his cheeks and he would laugh like crazy. I tried, unsuccessfully, to get a picture of him in full laugh (cell phone takes fair pics and is a lot handier than the cam...it also has a slight delay from the time you hit the button till it decides to take the pic so getting "the shot" isn't easy).

Dudette had some nasty cold type crud a couple weeks back.  And her voice got really LOW (think Lauren Bacall).  But she got over it.

CK, NG1, Dudette, and the IL's went to the Zoo a couple weeks back.  The idea was to get a glimpse of the new baby penguins.

With the soon to be entrance of NG2, the topic of names came up. CK and Chew already decided on a first name, "X". We shared this with some family members months back. One of my sisters was quick to point out a tendency...

HAPPY BIRDS

The other day, after some wet weather, D and I were outside.  The birds were just having a great time, making all kinds of happy  noises.  All we could figure was, with the rain earlier, it made bug and worm feasting very easy for them.

All of us went out last night to celebrate CK's BD.  If ya like steak, try The Texas Roadhouse.  Anyway...

A person I know sings for two bands; one hard rock, and the other a mix of classic and new rock. The hard rock band I've been going to see for years. The "mix" band however, I hadn't seen till last night.

He invited me out to see them earlier this past week and I said sure; when and where? And that is when things went slightly off track.
