In a parking area I was in, there was a big, red, truck trailer. Couldn't miss it if you wanted to. On the side of the truck was printed "TOTAL JOB SATISFACTION: JUST 10 FEET AHEAD".
Of course it was referring to a career as a truck driver. However, there was no tractor attached to the trailer. Which, of course, made it funny, and ironic to me. Could they be telling us, in some subliminal way, that there was no job satisfaction?
Funnier and more ironic still, were the number of people I watched look at the trailer, then look in front of it, then back to the trailer in an apparent double take. Finally, as if it were some Holy Grail that needed to be searching for, they look elsewhere in front, FAR in front, of the trailer...as if they missed the point (which they obviously did). And finally, in a state of confusion, they shrugged their shoulders and moved on.
Baffled happens.
That there is pretty funny!
