CATCH-UP TIME AGAIN
Remember when I said I was going to be on more frequently? Yeah, me neither.
But anywho, here's some of what's been up, in a nut shell that is.
A couple weeks back Dudette and I went to see the Blue Man Group. It was AWESOME! If you ever get a chance to catch their act, GO! You won't regret it.
They don't just play music; it's closer to a stage production. Hell, it IS a stage production. They carry on with the audience (though never say a word). The show followed the simple idea (a spoof) of "how to become a rock star", courtesy of a late night TV ad (think Ron Popeel). And from there all the action revolves around the "simple steps" you need to follow to make it to stardom. It was a laugh.
And the music...who knew you could do so much with PVC piping? All backed up with a 7 piece band, which included 3 percussionist other then the Blue Men.
A word of caution though, you will laugh; you will be entertained; and you will be subjected to loud music. So bring tissues, ear plugs, and remember...don't try to drink during the show. It'll make the people in front of you happier.

We had on the comedy channel last weekend to catch a comedian I've listened to before (no names though, sorry). While waiting for that show to come on, we caught Jeff Dunham.
HOLY CRAP!!! We just about died laughing. He is GREAT. As a ventriloquist, he can convince you his puppets are separate entities. And he argues with them so believably, you have to stop from time to time to remind yourself one of them isn't real. We enjoyed his act so much we bought his DVD's to catch everything we missed while laughing. AND, they contain both the "clean" version and the un-beeped versions. Worth watching both if you don't mind a little rough language.
And he has a ton of out-takes and explanations about the shows. The extras are almost worth the cost by themselves.
